Meet Jen

Hi, and thanks for visiting!  I’m Jen. I am wife to Scott, mom to 4, passionate about my family, faith, learning, growing, storytelling, photography, excellence and leadership, to name just a few!  My clients call me the baby whisperer, but I like to think of myself as a mama whisperer as well- while being a mom is the best thing I’ve ever done, it is also hard, and my heart’s desire is to help, inspire, and encourage other moms.  I was born and grew up right here in Cincinnati, and have been accused by my friends of “knowing everyone”, although I really don’t!

Words that describe me: Friendly, warm, talkative, bookworm. Fun. Energetic, thankful, real. Family-centered, committed to excellence. Memory maker, storyteller. Homeschooler, avid learner, hard working, slightly sarcastic sense of humor, sometimes “the hot mess” mom.

Things I love: My husband, my kids, my family and friends. People. Beautiful light. Good books. Family traditions. Babies. Christmas and birthdays. Being on a stage. Coffee. Seeing deep emotional connections through my camera lens, and capturing them at just the right moment. Broadways musicals. Any time I get a date with my husband. South Carolina Low Country beaches. Petting soft, purring kitties. A kind word. Business books, blogs, and courses (seriously, I am addicted). Talks with good friends. Ripe, sweet strawberries. Technology-free days (or even just hours or minutes!). Snuggles from my babies.  Encouraging and mentoring other moms. Making beautiful images of sweet babies for a living (I have the best job ever!). Witnessing the miracle of birth.

My quirky pet peeves: Yucky smells. Being cold. Trying to figure out what to make for dinner when it’s 4:30 pm (Seriously, do these people need to eat every single night?!). People saying things online they would (hopefully) never say in person. The Mommy Wars. Allergies. Unkind words and harsh judgment. Clutter. Politics… especially discussing it via social media. The fact that I can gain 5 pounds in 2 minutes looking at cheesecake, but only lose a half a pound after a month of working out and eating super clean.
